Art heals, connects and inspires us! That’s why Hollywood Palladium is proud to partner with The Art of Elysium to display art world icon and activist Shepard Fairey’s latest work for the entire Los Angeles community to enjoy.
With the legendary Hollywood Palladium as the backdrop, The Art of Elysium's unique activation will share the acclaimed artist’s message through a socially distant public art installation. The art will live on Hollywood Palladiums exterior walls at 6215 Sunset Boulevard. Anyone driving, walking, or biking past the iconic concert venue can experience Shepard’s powerful vision of empathy, equality, change and social justice.
"I'm creating a lot of art to encourage people to vote and use their voices, creativity, and other powers to shape the world in an ideal way,” Shepard told Hollywood Reporter. “My creative response to the world is therapeutic, and I know creating helps everyone feel less powerless and hopeless. I try to demonstrate that principle in my processes and ultimate creations."
The Art of Elysium is a non-profit connecting the healing power of art with those who need it most. Hollywood Palladium installation helps celebrate 23 years of activism by founder Jennifer Howell. “Art unites. Art inspires. Art calls to action the people. Art allows us to transcend. It is an honor to have Shepard and his creativity mark 23 years of this mission,” she said. Throughout the campaign, you can support this project and receive a downloadable gift of art courtesy of Shepard Fairey. Both Jennifer and Shepard are grateful to Hollywood Palladium for offering their venue in partnership for this important mission. Although the stage is a little different than they’re used to, Hollywood Palladium is honored to find unique and creative ways to connect groundbreaking artists with the local communities.
