First, the festivals. Louisville’s LGBTQ community and their allies gather for two days every summer for the Kentuckiana Pride Festival. Thousands of supporters start the weekend with a march for pride on the Big Four Lawn in Downtown Louisville, followed by live local music and fun. The celebration continues at noon on Saturday with two stages full of national and local musicians and live performers.
The Louisville Pride Festival is a one-day celebration of Louisville coming together as one. Set in the popular Highlands neighborhood, the Louisville Pride Festival is family-friendly, free and open to the public. Catch a drag show at Play Louisville, the city’s hottest theatre and dance party. Play hosts the country’s best drag performers every weekend and features fabulous costumed dance events like 80’s Party and Salsa Night.
